A seven-year-old child has been taken to hospital for treatment after being hit by a car in Glasgow.
Police were called to Dalmarnock Road around 9am on Thursday morning after being alerted to the incident.
Emergency services attended the scene and the child was taken to hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for a short period of time before reopening later in the morning.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9am on Thursday, December 14, officers were called to a report of a 7-year-old child having been struck by a car on Dalmarnock Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and the child was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The road was closed for a short period of time.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.06 to attend an incident on Dalmarnock Road, Glasgow.
“Two ambulances and a critical care paramedic were dispatched to the scene and on patient was transported to the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.”
