A schoolgirl has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after she was attacked by a dog in Glasgow.
The animal is believed to have jumped at the seven-year-old near Lunestone Court, around 4.10pm on Wednesday.
The girl was not bitten but had to be taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital because of the extent of her injuries.
The dog has since been seized by officers and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokeswoman said: “Police were made aware of an incident involving a dog attacking a seven-year-old girl near Lunestone Court, Glasgow around 4.10pm on Wednesday, July 8.
“The seven-year-old girl was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.”
