Two children and four adults were rescued in the early hours from a beauty spot after torrential rain and thunderstorms hit their camping spot.
Shortly before 1am on Sunday morning, the Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team, alongside Helensburgh and Inveraray, were alerted to multiple incidents on the north side of Loch Lomond.
Several people camping at various sites near the River Falloch ended up requiring assistance.
It follows a yellow weather warning which has been in place since midnight for heavy rain across west and central Scotland.
Forecasters warned that thunderstorms were likely.
Images posted by the rescue team showed tents partially submerged in water, blue-lit rescue boats and rescue team members in high-vis jackets.
The Loch Lomond Rescue Boat saved two children and four adults from a camp spot near Ardleish, recovering them to the awaiting Coastguard, Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Further assistance was given by Coastguard personnel at further camp sites north of Loch Lomond.
The Met Office has issued a weather warning for rain in parts of Scotland, days after a spell of record-breaking warm weather.
The yellow warning for rain is in place until 9pm on Sunday, with travel disruption and flooding expected.
Forecasters warned that heavy showers or longer spells of rain could bring thunderstorms and cause some disruption.
The yellow weather warning covers Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, Perth and Kinross, Stirling, Highlands, Argyll and Bute, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, and West Dunbartonshire.
ScotRail has announced that a speed restriction will be in place on some services until 7pm due to forecasted heavy rain and lightning.
Customers have been warned that services running between Arisaig and Lochaillort, Bridge of Orchy and Crianlarich, Falls of Cruachan and Taynuilt, and Glendouglas and Ardlui are affected.
The rail operator added that services between Glasgow Queen St and Oban and between Queen St and Fort William/Mallaig will also be subject to delay.
