Six men are to appear in court in connection with an ongoing ‘gang war’ following armed police raids in Glasgow and North Lanarkshire.
The men, aged 57, 42, 36, 31, and two 26-year-olds, have been arrested and charged in connection with a range of alleged offences.
It comes after organised crime and counter terrorism officers acting under warrant searched addresses in the Barlanark, Maryhill, Hamiltonhill, Milton of Campsie and Wishaw areas in Glasgow on Friday morning.
The men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, May 12.
The investigation, which is the largest currently in Scotland, is still ongoing, with the number of arrests currently standing at 32.
A police spokesperson said: “Six men have been arrested and charged in connection with a range of offences following executive action in Glasgow and North Lanarkshire on Friday, 9 May, 2025.
“The men, aged 57, 42, 36, 31, and two 26-year-olds, are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, May 12.
“A total of 32 arrests have now been made during this investigation across the West and East of Scotland and extensive enquiries remain ongoing.”
