Two people have been arrested after stolen items were recovered following a vehicle stop near Gretna Green services on Sunday.
During the stop on A74(M) on November 26, Lockerbie Road Policing unit recovered a large quantity of stolen items from a vehicle, including razor blade packs, toothbrush heads, earphones and alcohol.
Two men, aged 37 and 51, have been arrested and further enquiries remain ongoing.
It is believed that the items were stolen from the Dumfries and Galloway or Glasgow areas, and officers are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
Constable Andrew Aitken, from Lockerbie Road Policing, said: “Whilst we are appealing for anyone with information, or if you believe you’ve been the victim of crime, to please come forward, we are also urging shopkeepers and staff to be vigilant against such high-value thefts.
