Street cordoned off after man seriously assaulted

A street in Renfrewshire has been cordoned off after a man was seriously assaulted.

Emergency services were called to Oxford Drive, in Linwood, at around 2.25pm on Tuesday.

The man was taken to hospital as a precaution as enquiries remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.25pm on Tuesday, June 23, officers were called to Oxford Drive, Linwood following the serious assault of a man.

“The man attended hospital as a precaution.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
