iStockPolice have charged two men in connection after drugs worth £700,000 were discovered across Ayrshire and Renfrew.
Officers seized a cannabis cultivation around 10.35am on Wednesday, September 11 in Aranthrue Crescent in Renfrew where more than 100 plants were removed.
The drugs had an estimated street value of £66,000 and an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, September 13.
Around 1.45pm the same day, officers discovered another cultivation in King Street in Kilmarnock.
More than 500 plants, worth an estimated street value of £314,000 were seized and enquiries remain ongoing.
On Thursday, September 12 at around 4pm police discovered more than 300 cannabis plants in Muirkirk with a potential street value of £219,000.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Friday, September 13.
Detective Inspector Keith Runcie said: “We know drugs cause real harm in our communities and tackling them remains a high priority for us.
“We remain committed to protecting the public and targeting anyone involved in illegal activity which contributes negatively to the local communities we serve.”
