SNS GroupA teenager attacked a food delivery driver and robbed him of his electric bike.
Majid Adem, 19, and an unknown man pounced on the victim in Glasgow’s Govan on November 24, 2024.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how the delivery driver was riding his bike when the pair ran after him at 6.30pm.
Prosecutor Abbas Ali said: “They grabbed him, dragged him to the ground, which caused him to fall off his bike.
“They punched his head and body as he repeatedly tried to keep hold of his electric bike.”
The unknown man picked up the bike, and Adem, of Renfrew, Renfrewshire, ran behind him.
A witness shouted for the police, which prompted the unknown man to drop the electric bike, and the pair ran away.
The victim recovered the stolen bike.
Adem was traced and arrested four days later.
The teenager pleaded guilty to assault and robbery.
Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month by Sheriff Lorraine Glancy KC.
Adem had his bail continued.
