Teen behind mask of viral Wonka sensation The Unknown lands London Dungeon job

The character played by 16 year old Felicia found international fame after clips of the event were shared by frustrated parents.

Viral sensation The Unknown who rose to fame following the botched Glasgow Willy Wonka experience has been hired by the London Dungeon.

The teenager behind the mask at the disastrous House of Illuminati event last month, branded a “farce” by frustrated parents, has landed her big break in the capital city.

Organisers cancelled the ill-fated Willy’s Chocolate Experience hours after opening when they were met with a furious reaction by customers and police were called to the venue.

Video and images went viral on social media and made headlines around the world.

Clips of a masked character called The Unknown who was described as an “evil chocolate maker” who lived in the walls of the factory sparked a global reaction.

Unlike other performances at the chaotic event inspired by Roald Dahl’s magical story including Oompa Loompas and Willy Wonka, The Unknown has no corresponding basis.

Videos showing an actor dressed in black robes and a silver mask appearing from behind a mirror have gone viral on social media in the weeks since the disastrous event.

Parents told STV News The Unknown terrified their children causing them to cry.

The teenage actor from Glasgow hired to play the character has now landed a role at the world-famous London Dungeon this Easter.

Felicia will make a guest appearance to “perform for thrill seekers and fans” after “scaring the children of Glasgow”.

The 16-year-old will be trained by professionals before the appearance at the Dungeon on Sunday, April 7.

“I’m a huge fan of The Dungeons across the UK,” Felicia said.

“I’ve visited many times as a guest, and I can’t quite believe I now get to be the one who’s scaring the public.

“Who would have thought my wild Wonka experience would have led me to this.

“I’m hoping my recent scare experience will have set me up well for this role – and I cannot wait to meet and learn from the expert team at the London Dungeon as I’d love to be doing their job full time one day.

“London here I come.”

A London Dungeon spokesperson said: Clearly Felicia is a natural when it comes to the art of the scare.

“It’s an honour to be joined by the acting talent behind the now cult character The Unknown – and we can’t wait to see what she’ll bring to our horribly scary historical figures.

“If you think the mysterious character of The Unknown was unnerving, you haven’t seen anything yet.

“While we can’t say there will be any mirrors involved in Felicia’s training and guest appearance this Easter, what we can promise is there won’t be an AI script or advert in sight.

“The team can’t wait to welcome her to their ranks. Forget the West End, big breaks come just across from West… minster.”
