A teenager has been arrested after allegedly jumping from a moving car, sending it plunging into the Clyde following a police pursuit.
Officers said they attempted to stop the vehicle on Saturday night in Glasgow’s east end after it showed as uninsured on their systems.
Police said the car was driven dangerously to evade them, and the driver abandoned it while it was still moving.
After the driver left the vehicle, it crashed into the River Clyde and was later recovered.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and detained in custody for significant road traffic offences, Police Scotland said.
