A teenager has been seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle in Glasgow on Thursday.
Emergency services were called to Carntyne Road at around 4.30pm following a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian.
An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.
Police closed the road for almost six hours to allow for investigations to be carried out.
Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.30pm on Thursday, June 4, 2026, we received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Carntyne Road in Glasgow.
“The pedestrian, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“The road was closed to allow for investigations and fully reopened around 10.25pm. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
