Police ScotlandA teenager who died after being involved in a crash with an ambulance on the A78 in North Ayrshire has been named.
Kendal John Donaldson was riding an e-scooter on the southbound carriageway between the Pennyburn Roundabout and the junction with the B779 at Kilwinning when he was involved in the crash.
The 18-year-old from Irvine was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one from the ambulance was injured.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing, and anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 0324 of July 28, 2025.
