A teenage boy has been charged in connection with an assault that caused a “great deal of distress” to a 16-year-old girl.
Police appealed for help last week following an incident that took place in Glasgow’s Renfrew Street at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, February 12.
Police said no one was physically injured, however the incident caused a “great deal of distress” to the victim.
On Tuesday, the force confirmed a 15-year-old boy had been charged in connection with the incident.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson warned: “The public are reminded that persons under 18 who may be accused of a criminal offence cannot legally be named under the Contempt of Court Act.”
