Two teenage boys have sustained serious injuries after being attacked outside a sports centre in Inverclyde.
The disturbance happened in the car park of Greenock Sports Centre at around 2.30pm on Thursday.
Two boys, aged 16 and 17, sustained serious injuries and were taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital. They were released following treatment.
Detective constable Ruth Elder said: “Our enquiries so far indicate that a group of youths were seen in the area at the time and they left the car park in the direction of the town centre.
“We are keen to speak to them or anyone else who may be able to help with our investigation into this incident.
“We believe several members of the public may have seen what happened and we are asking them to come forward.”
