Police are hunting a suspect following an attack on a 17-year-old girl in Hamilton.
The incident took place on Dixon Street in the town at around 8pm on Saturday, September 24.
Officers are appealing for information, with the assault taking place in a busy area.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 20 and 25, and around 5ft 7in.
He was wearing a light grey hooded top and blue shorts at the time of the incident.
Detective Inspector Lorraine Wilson asked that anyone that may have information about the incident to contact police.
“This is a busy area and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this assault take place or has information that will assist our enquiry,” she said.
“If you noticed anyone matching this description please get in touch with police.
“Any drivers with dash-cam footage who passed the area around that time and observed the man and woman are also asked to contact officers.”
