A teenager and a man have been seriously injured in a crash between a car and a motorbike in Glasgow.

Police were called to the A726 Nitshill Road, near Nitshill Services, around 8.55pm on Wednesday, following the collision between a black Volkswagen T-Roc and a white Honda motorcycle.

A 16-year-old boy, who was riding the motorbike, and a 25-year-old man, who was a pillion passenger, were both taken to hospital, where they remain in a serious condition.

There were no other injuries.

The road was closed for around eight hours for investigations before reopening around 5am on Thursday.

Officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.

Sergeant Chris McColm said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time to contact us.

“Any road users who may have witnessed what happened or who has dash-cam footage which could assist is asked to get in touch.”
