A teenager was attacked by a masked gang of 12 amid multiple incidents of disorder linked to a Rangers v Celtic match in Glasgow.
Police have slammed multiple incidents which took place prior to and following the match at Hampden Park on Sunday as “vile and unprovoked”.
The first incident occured at midday, when a 51-year-old man was assaulted on Victoria Road by a man wearing a black jacket, black hat and black trousers at around 12pm.
A 49-year-old paramedic was then assaulted while treating an injured man in the lower tier of the West Stand at Hampden Park at around 4pm.
The suspect is described as male, white, of slim build, with brown hair and was wearing black clothing.
Emergency services were also alerted after an 18-year-old was assaulted by 12 masked individuals on Battlefield Road, near Mount Florida Railway Station, at around 5pm on Sunday.
The teenager was taken to University Hospital Hairmyres for treatment.
Police Scotland is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Superintendent Paul Douglas said: “All of these vile assaults were unprovoked and left the victims terrified.
“It is completely unacceptable that someone simply doing their job or someone simply walking home has been injured due to violence. We will use the full extent of our powers to hold those responsible to account.
“We are looking for anyone who witnessed either of these assaults, or anyone with relevant CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage, to please contact us.
“Anyone with information should contact 101, quoting references 0814 of November 2, 2025.”
