A driver has been taken to hospital and a teenager reported over road traffic offences following a crash which closed a road in Oban for more than four hours.
Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene near Pennyfuir Cemetery shortly after 8.30am on Monday amid reports of the collision involving two vehicles on the A85.
The driver of one of the cars involved was transferred to Lorn and Islands Hospital as a precautionary measure, but did not sustain any serious injuries.
The 18-year-old was reported to the procurator fiscal, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said.
“Around 8.30am on Monday, July 17, officers were called to a two-vehicle road crash on the A85, close to the Pennyfuir Cemetery, Pennyfuir, near Oban,” they added.
“One man, the driver of one of the cars, was taken to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban as a precaution. There were no other reports of injuries at the scene.
“An 18-year-old man is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal for alleged road traffic offences.
“The road is now open.”
