A teenager has been stabbed following an altercation with a man in Ayrshire.
The 17-year-old was with a friend walking along Peden Avenue near to St Margaret’s Avenue in Dalry when the incident occured on Saturday around 8.20pm.
He was involved with an altercation with another man which resulted in him being stabbed.
The teenager was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment and has since been discharged.
The suspect is described as white, 6ft in height, of large build and has blonde hair.
The incident follows a second attack on Sunday in the same area around 9.05pm, in which a man died “for absolutely no reason”, police said.
However, the two attacks are not thought to be connected.
Detective Constable Ross Keenan said: “Peden Avenue at St Margaret’s Avenue is residential and I am sure people there, especially at this time of the night, would have either seen or heard the attack.
