A teenager has been taken to hospital after he was attacked in a North Lanarkshire park on Wednesday.
Emergency services were alerted to an incident at Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge at around 4.20pm.
A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the assault is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing after a 17-year-old male youth was assaulted at Drumpellier Country Park, Coatbridge, around 4.20pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should contact 101 quoting incident number 2156 of April 1, 2026.”
