Thousands of pounds worth of goods have been stolen from a corner shop on Ayr High Street.
Police were called to Ayr Local at around 7.45am on Sunday after it was broken into overnight.
Enquiries established that items stolen from the shop have equated to a five-figure total.
An investigation remains ongoing into the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45am on Sunday, March 24, police received a report of a break-in to a shop on High Street, Ayr, which took place overnight.
“Enquiries have established that items were stolen from the shop with an estimated five-figure total value.
“An investigation into the matter is ongoing and anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 0864 of March 24, 2024.
“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
