Three men have been charged in connection with the death of a man following a disturbance in Douglas.

Police were called to Springhill Street around 8.35pm on Sunday after reports of a disturbance.

Joe Buchanan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers have charged three men aged 21,40 and 41, in connection with the incident.

They are due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday. A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
