Three people are in hospital after a two-car crash closed part of the A75 for more than nine hours.
Officers were called to the scene on the A75 near Barlae, east of Glenluce, around 1.30pm on Monday.
Emergency services attended and two men and one woman were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police confirmed that enquiries to establish the circumstances around the crash are ongoing.
The road was closed before reopening around 11pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving two cars on the A75 near to Barlae, east of Glenluce, around 1.30pm on Monday, February 26, 2024.
“Emergency services attended and two men and one woman were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“The road was closed and re-opened around 11pm.”
