Three men are to stand trial accused of murdering a man in his own home.
Kiey O’Connor, 27, Kieran Lindsay, 20, and Marshall Strachan, 20, allegedly attacked John Taylor at the property in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, last October 18.
Prosecutors claim the men wore masks as they attacked the 44-year-old, striking him on the body with a knife.
All three also face a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
This includes a claim that O’Connor, knowing his car was involved, offered to sell the vehicle to a man via Facebook Messenger for £40.
The other two are said to have left for Glasgow and got rid of the knife used.
Lindsay also showered, changed and burned the clothes worn during the alleged killing.
Lawyers for the men pleaded not guilty on their behalf at a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Advocate depute Erin Campbell said: “The Crown is ready for a trial to be fixed and I invite you to do so.
“A date has been identified.”
Lord Arthurson went on to set a trial which is due to start in June 2026.
The case could last up to ten days at the High Court in Glasgow.
A continued preliminary hearing was also set for October this year.
Reports at the time told how Mr Taylor had been found injured outside his home in Kilwinning’s Pollock Crescent. He was said to have been pronounced dead at the scene.
