Three suspects have been charged after the attempted murder of a man in Dumfries and Galloway.

Officers were called to a property at Wallace Court in Castle Douglas at around 11.30pm on Thursday.

A 38-year-old man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Police confirmed three men, aged 29, 39 and 49, have been arrested and charged in connection.

The men are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Monday, January 6, 2025.
