Traffic has built up on two of Scotland’s major motorways following a host of road closures.
The M8 eastbound between Junction 21 and 20 had a lane closed shortly after 10am on Sunday due to a collision.
Tailbacks built up on the M8 meaning it is slow both ways through the roadworks between Junctions 3 and 4.
A crash on the M80 at around midday meant the northbound carriageway between Junction 8 and 9 near the Bankhead Interchange was restricted.
Police said they were made aware that a car had struck a deer.
Traffic Scotland said the incident left debris on the road and warned drivers to be cautious as they approach the area.
The Great Scottish Run has seen thousands flock to Glasgow to take part for the first time in three years.
There is a host of road closures in effect over the weekend across the city, including on major travel routes.
The M8, M77 and the Clydeside Expressway will remain open but travel disruption was still expected.
