Services from Queen Street were cancelled as British Transport Police responded to the situation on the tracks between Glasgow and Croy.

“Ticket acceptance with Citylink is in place but please be aware, space is limited on these services and transport is not guaranteed.”

Passengers travelling to Aberdeen from Edinburgh were asked to take the 10pm Edinburgh to Dundee where a Capercaillie minibus will run from Dundee to Aberdeen.

Disruption continued late into the evening.
