Police have launched an investigation after trees were illegally cut down at a Renfrewshire beauty spot.
Investigating officers believe the rogue lumberjacks felled the woodland within Gleniffer Braes to make way for a bike track.
The illegal felling is reported to have taken place at Sergeant Law Road between April 9-12.
Renfrewshire Council, which owns the land, is urging anyone with information to contact police.
A spokesperson added: “We want to ensure this popular beauty spot remains safe for everyone to enjoy and any makeshift bike trails will be dismantled and removed, while anyone found to be damaging council property will be reported to Police Scotland.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating a report of illegal tree felling in the Glennifer Braes area, which is believed to have happened between Friday, April 9 and Monday, April 12.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
