Two people have been cut from a car with a learner driver plate after it crashed into a Home Bargains shop in East Dunbartonshire.
Emergency services were called at around 11.03am to the supermarket at Westpark near Main Street in Milngavie on Monday.
Images from the scene showed a black car having entered the store, smashing through the windows at the front of the shop.
Firefighters used equipment to remove two casualties from the vehicle, and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service checked them over. Neither attended hospital.
STV NewsA Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.03am on Monday, November 10 to reports of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle in Milngavie.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the town’s Westpark, where firefighters used equipment to remove two casualties from their vehicle.
“The casualties were then transferred into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service personnel and given a precautionary check-up, but did not attend hospital.
“Firefighters left the scene after working to make the area safe.”
Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Home Bargains have been contacted for comment.
