Two in hospital after car crash closes M73 during rush hour

The M73 was closed in both directions after a crash that left two people in hospital.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Gartcosh at around 7.25am on Wednesday morning.

Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment.

Drivers faced significant delays as the road was closed Northbound.

As of 9am, the road has reopened but drivers should still expect longer than usual journey times, Traffic Scotland said.
