Two men have been arrested after a cannabis farm worth £650,000 was discovered in Ayr town centre.
Officers raided the premises on Green Street on Monday where they seized the cultivation.
Police said two men, aged 29 and 32, had been arrested and charged with drugs offences.
They were due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday, January 16.
Cannabis is listed as a class B drug in the UK, and the maximum prison term for supplying it is five years in prison.
A police spokesperson urged anyone with concerns or information around drugs to come forward as they continue efforts to prevent their illegal distribution.
Sergeant William Deans said: “We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to prevent the sale and distribution of drugs in our communities.
“Anyone with concerns about drugs and drug misuse should contact police on 101, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
