Two men arrested after gunshots fired through house window

Police launched an investigation after the drive-by shooting in Stepps last December.

Two men have been charged in connection with a drive-by shooting in North Lanarkshire.

Gunshots were fired through a house window in Flynn Gardens, Stepps, on Monday, December 30 last year.

No one was injured in the incident.

On Thursday, police confirmed two 31-year-old men had been arrested and charged as part of a targeted operation in response to the shooting.

A gun was also recovered.

The men are expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday.

Detective inspector Andy MacLean, from Lanarkshire CID, said: “I’d like to thank the public for their assistance as we have carried our enquiries into this targeted attack.”
