Two men have been arrested following an investigation into a potential serious assault at Glasgow’s Four Corners in the early hours of the morning.
Officers closed down Jamaica Street for a number of hours on Wednesday after a report of a disturbance and possible serious assault at around 3.30am.
The road reopened at around noon on Wednesday.
Two 30-year-old men have now been arrested in connection with a disturbance.
Enquiries remain ongoing to identify and trace two further men believed to be involved in the incident.
Sergeant David McIntosh said: “We’d like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as officers carried out their work in the area.
“Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious on Jamaica Street in the early hours of this morning, or has any information on the incident, should call police on 101, quoting incident 0291 of January 8.
“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
