Two men have been arrested and charged after cannabis worth £405,000 was seized in a police raid in South Lanarkshire.

Officers searched a premises on Chapel Street in Carluke on Wednesday, April 9.

The two men, aged 49 and 51, were due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday, April 10.

Detective Inspector Scott Robertson said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities, and we are committed to bringing those responsible for the supply and sale of illegal substances to justice.

“This result underscores our commitment to the Serious and Organised Crime Taskforce and highlights our efforts to disrupt the activities of those involved.
