SNS GroupTwo men have appeared in court following a mass disturbance between Celtic and Roma fans before a European match.
Michael Whitlock, 25, and Richard Bridle, 38, were among away fans outside Celtic Park on December 11 last year.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how Whitlock and Bridle walked in the opposite direction of Celtic ultras.
A metal barrier separated both sets of supporters.
Prosecutor Tammy Gibson said: “Whitlock and Bride shouted and swore at the Celtic ultras, which resulted in a confrontation.
“Bridle ran towards the metal gate and shouted ‘f*** off’.
“Police immediately drew their batons and placed themselves between both sets of fans and instructed them to desist.
“Both men continued to shout and swear and raised their arms in a fighting stance towards the Celtic ultras.”
Officers went on to separate both groups and asked for further assistance from colleagues to attend.
Both the Celtic ultras and Whitlock and Bridle walked away from the scene.
The two men were later identified as being involved by witnesses.
Roma went on to win the match 3-0.
Whitlock, of Southampton, Hampshire, and Bridle, Nursling, Hampshire, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Bridle’s matter has been further deferred until next week for the Crown to make a submission.
