Two taken to hospital after car failed to stop and struck Mercedes 

A 25-year-old man is in hospital in a stable condition following a crash on Glasgow's Milton Street on Friday.

Two men were taken to hospital after a car failed to stop for police then struck a Mercedes in Glasgow.

Police Scotland pursued a Peugeot 3008 car after it failed to stop for officers on Kyle Street, at around 11.55am on Friday.

Whilst travelling along Dobbies Loan towards Milton Street, the same vehicle struck a Mercedes A180 car.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the Peugeot, a 27-year-old man, was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

He was later released and subsequently arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

The passenger of the Peugeot, a 25-year-old man, was also taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The driver of the Mercedes was uninjured.

Milton Street was closed for around 10 hours while investigations were carried out.

Sergeant Nick Twigg of Glasgow Road Policing said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who may have dash-cam or private CCTV footage that could assist to contact us.”
