Two people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on the Clydeside Expressway in Glasgow.

Police were called to the A814, near to the SEC campus, following reports of a three-vehicle crash at around 9.45pm on Thursday.

Emergency services attended and two people were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a precaution.

Officers have now launched an appeal for any witnesses into the crash to come forward, as enquires continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.45pm on Thursday, May 5, police were called to the A814 Clydeside Expressway, near to the SEC campus, following reports of a three-vehicle road crash.

“Two people were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a precaution.

“The road was cleared around 11.30pm.

“Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and any witnesses are urged to call police on 101, quoting reference 3593 of May 5.”
