Two teenagers are among three people in hospital after a “disturbance” in North Ayrshire.
Police were called around 2.10pm on Sunday to a report of three people found seriously injured at a premises in Kilwinning Road, Stevenston, following an earlier disturbance on Trelawney Terrace.
Emergency services attended at Kilwinning Road, and a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Two male youths, aged 17 and 15, were also taken to hospital for treatment.
Inspector Douglas Clark, Irvine Police Station, said: “Officers are following a positive line of enquiry and a police presence will remain in the area while we carry out investigations.
“Anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.
“We understand this incident may be worrying for the people living in this community and would ask anyone with concern to speak to us.”
