A street in Glasgow has reopened after firefighters tackled a blaze at a café.
Emergency services were called to Victoria Road around 5.52pm on Wednesday after reports of a building fire.
Flames and thick smoke were pictured coming from inside the Mi Chaii café, which sits below three floors of residential properties.
It’s understood that the fire took hold in the bar and back kitchen of the business.
At least five fire engines and an aerial appliance were at the scene, and the road between Queens Drive and Torrisdale Street was closed.
It was confirmed that the road reopened just after 9pm.
Firefighters used battering rams to gain access to the flats above the café to ensure they were empty and could be seen searching room by room with torches as neighbours looked on from the street below.

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to a building fire on Victoria Road around 5.52pm.
“We have dispatched three pumps and an aerial appliance to the scene.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland previously said: “Around 6.10pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, we received a report of a fire at Victoria Road in Glasgow.
“Emergency services are in attendance.
“Victoria Road is closed and motorists are asked to find alternative routes.”
