Viral sensation “The Unknown” from the failed Glasgow Willy Wonka experience has made a surprise appearance at the preview event of GlasGLOW.
16-year-old Felicia Dawkins rose to global fame following the disastrous event at Box Hub in Whiteinch in February this year for playing the masked character.
Police were called to the “immersive event” inspired by Willy Wonka after furious parents complained about the quality of the attraction.
Billy Coull, the director of events company House of Illuminati who hosted Willy’s Chocolate Experience, cancelled the event hours into opening after backlash.
Dawkins, who unmasked on social media following clips of her going viral, appeared on Thursday night at the immersive lights show at the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow.
She was spotted by visitors lurking around the ‘Bone Yard’ at the event where a headstone dedicated to the Wonka Experience lies.
The Unknown said: “I really enjoyed creeping around in the graveyard and seeing the crowds trying to work out if I was real or not.”
A spokesperson for GlasGLOW said: “It’s unknown whether we’ll see her back again at the event but she’s welcome to pay her respects at the Bone Yard anytime.”
GlasGLOW: Trick or Treat officially opened on Friday ahead of Halloween – with around 85,000 people expected to attend over the next two weeks.
Tickets for peak slots across opening week and the first two weekends have already sold out with final tickets remaining for the last week.
Since launching in 2018, nearly 750,000 have visited the annual event in the Gardens.
Limited tickets are available at www.glasglow.com.
