A warning has been issued by Police Scotland after a spate of break-ins across Glasgow’s West End.
Officers across the city are appealing for information following a number of housebreaking incidents at business premises between the dates of Thursday, August 24, and Wednesday, September 13.
The streets where the break-ins have taken place are Byres Road, Great Western Road, Dumbarton Road, Gibson Street, Hyndland Road and Hyndland Street.
Police have warned all business owners and members of the public living in the area to ensure their properties are locked and fully secured.
Inspector Mhairi Crawford said: “It is clear that the person or persons involved have absolutely no consideration for the owners of these businesses and the impact that these crimes will have on them.
“I am appealing to anyone who has any information regarding these break-ins or who may have any relevant CCTV or ring doorbell footage, to contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0415 of August 28 Details can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“I would like to take this opportunity to remind business owners and members of the public to ensure that their properties are locked and secured to prevent any opportunists from carrying out similar incidents.”
