Police officers in Glasgow narrowly avoided being hit by a falling tree as Storm Eowyn wreaked havoc across Scotland.
Officers were responding to a tree already collapsed on Muirdykes Road in Penilee which was blocking the street.
The tree was also covering part of a garden on the opposite side of the street.
Police in the video can be seen assessing the damage with a car seemingly stuck under branches before a second tree begins to fall.
It was confirmed there were no injuries during the incident.
Officers run away from the tree and manage to escape harm as it completely covers the road and the car which was previously hit.
A driver also avoided a near miss as a huge tree fell onto a major road in Renfrewshire.
A tree, being battered by hurricane-force winds of up to 100mph from Storm Eowyn, fell onto Magnus Road near the junction with Crawford Road in Houston on Friday.
A video from the scene shows cars turning the corner as the tree begins to fall with one car covered by the branches on the road.
An eyewitness has told STV News that the driver hopped out to check the car then backed up and turned around with no one believed to have been injured.
It comes amid a warning to stay indoors and avoid travel as a rare red Met Office weather alert has been extended to cover large parts of Scotland.
One person was also taken to hospital following a one-car crash on the A81 in Glasgow.
A lorry overturned on the Kingston Bridge and the Erskine Bridge has been closed to all traffic.
The storm is expected to bring the most intense weather in recent history, with wind speeds of 100mph.
