Two young brothers from West Lothian have inspired their community after spending their own pocket money to make sure children don’t go without presents this Christmas.
Euan, six, and his older brother Cameron Robertson, ten, were determined to help families struggling with the cost of living.
Cameron said: “Christmas is coming up and I just knew that some people might not get any gifts, so we decided to go together and spend our own money on getting gifts.”
Euan added: “We donate them to other children who don’t have any.”
On delivery day, the pair proudly loaded up the mountain of toys and gifts they had gathered. Once neighbours and friends heard about the boys’ mission, donations quickly poured in, turning their small act of kindness into a large community effort.
The presents will be handed over to a local foodbank and to the charity Children First, who will make sure they reach families in need in time for Christmas.
Caroline Millar from Children First said: “We just want to say a huge thank you. This generosity to support families locally and nationally is hugely appreciated.”
The brothers say they still have a few more gifts to buy and have already begun saving to spread even more Christmas cheer next year.
