Google MapsA woman has been taken to hospital after being attacked on a street in Dumbarton.
Police were alerted to the incident which happened on High Street near Riverside Lane between 12.50am and 1am on Sunday morning.
A 28-year-old woman was assaulted.
She was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch.
Detective Constable Georgia Callander said: “This incident happened on a busy street and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault and hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have dash-cam or private CCTV to contact us.”
