A woman has been arrested after a police raid on a property in Port Glasgow led to the seizure of cocaine and cannabis valued at over £39,000.

Officers from Inverclyde’s Priority Policing Team executed a search warrant at a property on Bardrainney Avenue at around 9.15am on Friday November 21.

A quantity of cocaine with a street value of around £38,960 and cannabis worth around £860 was recovered within.

The woman, aged 37, was arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Gary Arthur said: “This recovery highlights our commitment to tackling dangerous and illegal drugs in our local communities.

“We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the drugs trade and preventing their manufacture and distribution.
