A woman was attacked at a train station in Glasgow before being verbally abused on a train.
The incident took place at around 6.20pm at Charing Cross station on September 7 after the pair were seen boarding the service at Blairhill.
The male was heard being verbally aggressive towards the woman when they both stepped foot on the train. She was later physically assaulted by the man.
A statement from the British Transport Police reads: “Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was assaulted and verbally abused on board a train in Glasgow.
“On September 7, at around 6.20pm at Charing Cross station, a man was seen to assault a woman.
“Both then boarded a train to Blairhill where the man was heard being verbally aggressive towards the woman.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 523 of September 7.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
