Woman attacked by gang outside nightclub as CCTV images of man released

Police have released CCTV images of a man in connection with a serious assault after a woman was attacked outside a Glasgow nightclub.

Officers said on Sunday, March 3, 2024, a woman was outside a nightclub in Mitchell Street when she was assaulted after speaking with a group of two men and two women.

The incident – which took place between 3am and 3.30am – was reported to police on Friday, March 8.

Police believe the man pictured can assist them with their enquiries.

Detective constable John McMahon said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries and I am appealing to the man in the image or to anyone who recognises him to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2950 of Friday, March 8, 2024.
