Adobe StockA woman has been charged after videos showing an indecent act with an XL Bully dog were circulated online.
An investigation had been launched after detectives received reports of concern following content shared on social media appearing to show an XL Bully-type dog.
It is understood the alleged incident took place in the Bellshill area of North Lanarkshire and was reported on December 4.
On Thursday, Police Scotland confirmed a woman had been charged.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following reports of concerns following videos and images circulating online of an indecent act involving a dog, a 34-year-old woman has been charged.
“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
