A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.
The female pedestrian was struck by a silver Ford Kuga around 2pm on Friday on Duntreath Avenue, just south of where the road crosses Great Western Road.
The 42-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University hospital, where medical staff describe her injuries as “life-threatening”.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “We believe there were a number of people around at the time of the crash and we are asking anyone in the area at the time who can assist with our investigation to get in touch.
“We are also asking people to check their private CCTV and dash-cam footage and contact us if they have anything that could help with our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1823 of September 13.
