Around 6.20am on November 11, officers were called to a report of a woman being assaulted by a man in Dunbeth Park, Coatbridge.
The woman was not injured but police said she was left “extremely frightened”.

“This was a terrifying ordeal for the woman, and we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible,” detective chief inspector Frank Travers, Lanarkshire CID, said.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing into this incident and I would like to thank the public for their assistance in our investigations which has resulted in additional lines of enquiry being identified.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area and visible patrols in the park this weekend.”
He continued: “I would urge anyone with any further information to please contact police. Additionally, anyone with dash cam footage or private CCTV from around the area should check to see if you have captured anything that could be useful in our investigations.”
